Meet our principal therapist
Anita Wong
Somatic Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Yoga Instructor and Thai Massage Therapist
She has been a Yoga teacher for 10 years. While teaching, she realized that bringing a deeper sense of relaxation, self-awareness, and overall physical health was only part of the picture. Clients' lives were complex, and weekly classes could only go so far. Since completing her Master of Psychotherapy and Counselling with a Distinction average, she has discovered the benefits of combining traditional talk therapy with her decade of experience working with the body to provide services to meet all aspects of her clients. She uses traditional practices verified by modern evidence-based studies, neuroscience, and contemporary psychotherapy frameworks. Anita believes this universal, integrated approach combines the natural intuitive intelligence of the body with the cognitive powers of the mind. She uses the strength of a gentle, collaborative, warm and compassionate therapeutic relationship as the foundation of her work. She believes this person-centred approach helps empower the client. Anita is cleared to work with NDIS participants who are Self-Managed and Plan-Managed.
